2 Year Old Childcare Funding Entitlement

 

Are you eligible for 2 year old childcare funding entitlement?

Some 2 year old children in Coventry are eligible for the 2 year old childcare funding entitlement, also referred to as ‘Free Early Education Entitlement’ (FEEE).  It’s available to a small number of parents who fall within certain circumstances.  If you think you might be eligible, give us a call, send us an email, or contact us on Facebook or Twitter.  Contact details here, or at the end of this article.

To qualify for 2 year old childcare funding entitlement, you must be in receipt of one of the following:

– Income Support
– Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
– Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
– Support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
– The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
– Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income not over £16,190
– The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
– Working Tax Credits and earn £16,190 a year or less

If you would like to claim free 2 year old funding from Forest Friends Day Nursery, you must present us with evidence that you meet the criteria.

Children are also entitled to a place if they meet any of the following:

– Are looked after by Coventry City Council
– Have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education health and care plan
get Disability Living Allowance
– Have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order
are supported through the common assessment framework (CAF) process – A personalised letter from the CAF lead professional would be required as evidence
– Are subject to a child protection plan or child in need plan – A personalised letter from the lead Social Worker would be required as evidence

Child’s birthday: When you can claim:
1 January and 31 March At the start of the summer term following their second birthday
1 April and 31 August At the start of the autumn term following their second birthday
1 September and 31 December At the start of the spring term following their second birthday
