Sample Menu

Forest Friends Day Nursery is passionate about serving children healthy and nutritious meals. Our menus operate seasonally, on a 3-week cycle. The sample menu below gives you an idea of the type of food we provide, along with the allergen information. If you would like to see our current menu, we are happy to share this with you during your show-round meeting.

All meals are prepared in our dedicated kitchen from fresh ingredients every day, and we do our best to provide for religious and cultural requirements. When we create our menus, we try to incorporate flavours and textures from around the world that are wholesome, nutritious and most importantly of all, tasty! We’ve got some real crowd pleasers. Parents often ask for recipes to make at home, and children often ask for their favourite meals again and again. When possible, we prefer to use whole grains such as wholemeal pasta and brown rice. For those that require a meat-free option, we will normally replace the meat in a recipe with grains or pulses, as appropriate.
